cRaZy SuMmEr!!

Oh what a summer it's been!

May: I turned the big 2-1! Kevin had to work a double shift in Salt Lake so I thought I would be alone the whole day on my birthday which was really bumming me out. I got up early and went to the DMV to get my license renewed, then I went and got my nails done. After that I came home to Kevin who surprised me with the day off and a new camera! He scared me to death!! When I opened the door and saw a man in my living room I was sure our crazy neighbor had come to murder me! Luckily it was my hubs :)
At the end of the month we moved in with my mom and dad in hopes of saving money for school in the fall and possibly buying a house! We were both nervous to move in with the fam, but we are so grateful we've been able to save as much as we have!

June: I was planning on quitting my job the first week of June because the drive is not worth it for how little I was getting paid, but my boss offered me an awesome raise in order to stay so I accepted and I have been commuting to Clearfield and Ogden Monday through Friday. Kevin got a new job at a youth facility in West Jordan that has been a little rough but it's better than him commuting from Brigham City every day.

July: The month has flown by! We registered for school and have done some house hunting here and there. We decided to start renting again and keep up with the house hunting until we find the perfect place. We decided we needed a little break from the full house so we spent the weekend in Salt Lake City. We stayed at the Hyatt in a REALLY nice room and then went to Temple Square and took lots of pics!

Today I had the day off so Madison and I decided we wanted to go to the zoo and we had a blast!

My new workout plan

So, I've decided to get back on the healthy track. I bought a nutrition book that has healthy recipes in it that I am going to try to cook. I'm also doing the Tracy Anderson Method workout every night and I love it! It's a kick butt work out that is only one hour long, but it's awesome! So far so good :)

First Semester at Weber State

Yep we are definitely moving to UVU.... Weber has been horrible! We have the worst History and Math teachers on the planet! Not to mention trying to park at Weber is a nightmare! Hooray for one more week of the semester!! Kevin starts ROTC for the Army in August. He decided to switch from the Air Force to the Army because there are more careers he is interested in through the Army. I've decided I want to do hair school so I've looked into a couple of schools in Utah County. I probably won't start until next year or so though. Life is moving and we're enjoying it! :) Next month we'll probably be moving down to Utah Valley if I can find a job. Kevin already has a job lined up which is so awesome! A couple weeks ago I made a bet with Kevin that if he had a job by the end of the week he could go buy his PS3. The same day of the bet he got a job! So now I'm out $400.... :)

Our First Christmas

Our first Christmas was a little difficult for me to get used too... I felt like I missed out on all the traditions, but it turned out to be a really great day! We slept over at Katie's house and watched Danielle, Courtney, and Wyatt open their presents. They were so cute! Then we spent the rest of the day doing the traditional Christmas events with my family. Fondu is my absolute favorite!

Our First Family Trip as Marrieds!

We made the long 16 hour drive up to Seattle to spend Thanksgiving with the Brimhalls. The night before we left there was a huge blizzard and I was sure we weren't going to be able to drive all the way up through Idaho and Oregon in such bad conditions, but we made it! Seattle was the same as always and it reminded me how much I miss living there! Maybe someday we'll live there again!

Life as a Newly Wed

Kevin and I didn't have very much faith in ourselves to survive on our own at first, but we quickly learned that we can! Kevin works full time at Triumph Academy-a youth facility in Brigham City. I work at Bravo Arts Academy in Clearfield as a receptionist. I really miss my dance teaching job in Washington, though! I spend a lot of time trying to make our apartment feel like home. We even splurged and go a DVR! I really can't cook though...everything I've made tastes horrible! I guess I'll just have to keep practicing... poor Kevin.

Our New Home

It's not much! But it's home! :) We moved to Ogden to attend Weber State and we've LOVED our apartment! Our ward is really awesome too! We like going over to our friends, Michelle and Danny's house for dinner and games! The only bad thing about our apartment is the ginormous spiders that come from those big green bushes, ewwww!

A Day to Remember

Our wedding day was perfect! I couldn't ask for a better day! Thanks to everyone who helped out!
